What are we looking for?
We are seeking an experienced and talented Market Promoter – Agro – Seeds to join our AGRO department. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of market analysis, seed research and development, and the sales process for seeds and other SOLEVO products.
What do we expect from the candidate?
The candidate will be responsible for:
· Understanding, analyzing, and anticipating the market
· Researching, proposing, testing, and promoting adapted seeds (and inputs)
· Identifying and managing interactions with large farms, NGOs, projects, and the distribution market
· Planning imports and sales
The key responsibilities:
Market Analysis:
· Monitoring the sector (new entrants, emerging sectors, financial health of players, export prices, etc.).
· Reviewing and reporting on customer retention, business opportunities, and market trends.
· Summarizing these insights in a weekly report submitted every Monday.
Research, Testing, and Promotion:
· Researching, proposing, testing, and promoting adapted seeds (plus associated inputs).
· Identifying and managing interactions with the assigned group of existing customers to explore cross-sell, upgrade, and repeat sales opportunities.
· Coordinating with the R&D department to implement tests, training sessions, demonstrations, and fairs.
· Managing proper stock rotation and working with the Supply Chain Manager to ensure effective order collection.
· Establishing and communicating forecasts to maintain the necessary production and stock levels (bags, materials, products, etc.).
Client & Market Engagement:
· Managing relationships with large farms, NGOs, projects, and distribution channels.
· Setting sales prices and responding to tenders for major accounts (with RBMapproval).
· Developing and implementing medium- and long-term sales strategies to protect, develop, and diversify relationships with existing customers.
· Ensuring compliance with bid prices during invoicing and prompt payment of invoices.
· Providing after-sales support (resolving disputes, organizing further training, etc.) and ensuring high-quality customer service.
Best Practices and Compliance:
· Adhering to internal policies and procedures regarding safety, information security, and administrative processes (e.g., reporting, trips, leave, expenses).
If you possess…
Must-Have:
· Education: BAC+5, Master’s degree, Business School, or a degree in Agricultural/Industrial Engineering or Commercial studies.
· Experience: A minimum of 5 years of successful experience in a similar role.
Nice-to-Have:
- Proficient in sales techniques, negotiation, and IT tools (Office Suite, ERP systems).
- Strong analytical skills, customer focus, and the ability to adapt and assert oneself in a dynamic environment.
