What are we looking for?
We are looking for a Business Development Manager Sahel to join our team in Dakar. The successful candidate should have solid experience in the field and be fluent in English and French.
What do we expect from the candidate?
Under the responsibility of the Director Digital Group, you are responsible for ensuring the promotion and sale of SOLEVO’s products and other services to the companies under your portfolio, which you are tasked with developing and retaining, in accordance with the commercial policy defined by Management.
The key responsibilities:
o Manage the Go-to-market of the Solevo Farm App, including building a large user base of active farmers across the Sahel region (Senegal, Burkina Faso, Mali).
o Manage a pipeline of distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and farmers and implement onboardings, trainings and collect customer feedback of their usage of Solevo’s digital products and services.
o Interpret customer data to find actionable insights for improving customer adoption of Solevo’s digital products and services.
o Building relationships with customers to ensure positive two-way feedback loop.
o Develop go-live launch plans and itineraries for the successful launches of Solevo’s digital products
o Be constantly collecting customer feedback and interpreting this feedback into productive product improvements for product managers.
o Collaborate with Brand, Design, and creative teams to ensure the production and delivery of assets and materials relevant to customer activations and marketing campaigns.
o Be in close contact with Solevo’s customers, monitor their usage of Solevo’s digital products and identify areas for improvement and necessary adjustments.
o Be able to interpret data from analytics dashboards (PowerBI) and create operational recommendations on better supporting customers engage with Solevo’s products.

If you possess…
Must-Have:
Must have 5 years experience in go-to-market
Ideally also has proven experience in achieving growth in App users
Ideally has experience in selling services or technology solutions to businesses and/or consumers.
Ability to use and understand data systems and ability to provide clear and concise product solutions and customer feedback.
Experience with ERP / CRM and analytics (e.g. Tableaux or PowerBI)
Ability to travel extensively across to Mali and Burkina to enable onboarding and training of new customers.
Nice-to-Have:
o Sales &/or business development experience
o Understanding of agriculture and inputs distribution
o high level of proficiency in both written and spoken English and French (local language a plus)
